Loctite High Temperature Thread Sealants


In modern concept of mechanical assemblies of threaded pipe joints, liquid ( anaerobic ) thread sealants  play an important role of sealing and securing metal pipes and fittings.  They are used to replace the so-called teflon tapes,  jointing pastes, ect. Some of the advantages of the  liquid sealants are:  

1. fill the gaps between fitting assemblies, ensuring the complete contact between threads,
2. sealing regardless of assembly torque,
3. will not creep, shrink, or block systems, especially those with many small orifices,
4. easy disassembly in future maintenance ( cured sealants filled threads thoroughly thus preventing  corrosion and seizure ),
5. remain leak-free condition under severe vibration, chemical attack, high pressure, and thermal cycling.
